The happiness dashboard

Three panels depict a workplace. In panel one, a manager asks a seated worker, “On a scale of one to five, how free do you feel to disagree?” Behind the manager is a poster reading CANDOUR IS OUR STRENGTH. The worker looks towards a door marked CONTRACT RENEWALS. In panel two, a close view shows the worker selecting five. A thought bubble contains a small picture of the same contract-renewal door, with a question mark above it. In panel three, the manager unveils a dashboard: FREEDOM TO DISAGREE: 100%. Beside it, a suggestion box has been sealed with tape labelled NO LONGER NECESSARY. The worker's mouth is drawn as a short horizontal line. The caption reads, “The evidence speaks freely.” The cartoon gives no evidence that any contract has in fact been refused because of an answer.
