Questions people ask
Do ungraded passes count in the GPA?
They count towards a year's credit load but add no grade, so the year's GPA comes from its graded units only.
What if my final year has few graded results?
ANU leaves out a year with under 0.375 of a full-time load of graded results; Deakin's line is 0.25.
How are percentages converted?
GEMSAS converts an official unit percentage (with a pass mark of 50) to a 7-point grade: 80 and above is 7, 75 to 79 is 6.5, and so on down to 50 to 54 at 4.

What it does
Enter your unit marks for your last three years: get the weighted GPA ANU or Deakin uses.
ANU and Deakin (General Stream), 2027 intake, a completed Australian bachelor degree with official percentage marks (pass mark 50), studied from 2021.
Method
- Each unit's percentage becomes a subject GPA on GEMSAS's conversion table: 80 and over 7, 75 to 79 6.5, 70 to 74 6, 65 to 69 5.5, 60 to 64 5, 55 to 59 4.5, 50 to 54 4, under 50 0.
- Each year's GPA is the credit-weighted average of its graded units. Ungraded passes count towards the year's load but not its GPA.
- A year counts only with enough graded results: 0.375 of a full-time year at ANU, 0.25 at Deakin.
- Years are weighted 3 (final), 2 and 1. ANU needs two counted years and keeps their own weights if one is left out.
