Questions people ask
How long is GAMSAT valid for?
For GEMSAS, results can be used for four consecutive application years. A September 2025 sitting can be used for applications in 2026 to 2029, for courses starting in 2027 to 2030.
Can I use September results for the intake I am applying to?
No. GEMSAS does not accept the September sitting in your application year for that intake; it counts from the next intake.
Does this apply to UK medical schools?
No. UK and Irish schools set their own validity rules.
